Kaj dogaja na Trialogu?

IPES v okviru Norveškega finančnega mehanizma izvaja projekt Trialog – Aktivacija mladih s spodbujanjem njihovega medsebojnega povezovanja, prevzemanja aktivne vloge v lokalnih skupnostih in celostnim opolnomočenjem za življenje brez nasilja.

Se (pol)profesionalno ukvarjate z mladimi in ste locirani v Podravski regiji?

ENGLISH – What is happening on project Trialog?

IPES is implementing a project called Trialog – Activating youth by encouraging them to form meaningful connections, take an active role in their local communities and empowering them for a violence-free life, financed through Norway Grants. The project is implemented by a consortium of partners: Ptuj City Municipality, University of Adult Education Ormož, Center for free time activities Ptuj, Youth Council of Municipality of Ptuj, Avisensa, Institute for psychology, counselling and education, Kamnica, and our Institute as a leading partner. What is currently happening in the project and what can we expect?

Online platform

A part of the project is preparing an online platform that will allow networking of youth, introduction and further information on topics such as mental health, violence and social activation, sharing on experience, playing emotional tetris and other content. Some young people were granted early access to a beta version of the platform and were asked to provide feedback. This was done in a form of a questionnaire and focus groups, visible in photos below.

Project promotion

We were lucky to receive lots of feedback that will serve us when updating the platform before its final release in April 2023, but also when preparing and conducting other project activities. Alongside the platform we are planning an event to present the project and some of its fulfilled objectives. We will of course send out invites, but are already inviting you to keep us in mind at the end of April. We will share promotional material then as well, which is currently under preparation. If you are interested in themes of youth, their mental health, presence of violence, or simply need a new tote bag and notebook – consider yourself invited in advance. A quick sneak peak of the platform is available below.

Workshops and trainings

In February we will implement a testing form of training for youth workers, adapt it according to feedback and prepare a final version of the training for everyone that works with young people. The goal of the training is to equip participants with technics that allow for faster and easier recognition of struggles within youth, acknowledgment of own responsibilities and limitations, mechanisms for bettering communication and giving advice as well as presenting further pointers and referral for young people. Participants of the training will also receive a Manual for training mentors, containing some information from the training, project findings so far and other potentially useful information in connection to self-image of young people.

As a part of project Trialog, we are still executing workshops for secondary school students, where we offer the young participants mechanisms to form better communicational patterns, ways of recognizing and managing stressful factors, as well as basic terminology, connected to violence and mental health. As for currently, we have implemented 10 workshops and we are planning for additional 10 in the upcoming months.

Most representatives of Trialog projects partners you can see in the cover photo by the title, captured while having a meeting about further development of the project. The beginning of the year is definitely busy and there is no lack of project activities.

Do you work with young people and are located in Podravje region? Contact us via info@ipes-si.org and we will be happy to include you into trainings for youth workers.

Project Trialog is co-financed by Norway through Norway Grants financial mechanism in amount of 469 000 eur. The aim of the project is to empower and activate young people and youth workers. Its duration is from 15. 6. 2022 until 30. 4. 2024.
